Walserweg, Via Alpina Green

San Bernardino-Montreux
To spend more time in the mountains, we decided to walk the two routes directly one after the other.
The end of the Walserweg is in Brand (Austria) and near the starting point of Via Alpina in Vaduz.
Both routes are in the Swiss Alps, but they are very different.

The Walserweg is less known and therefore much more solitary.
We met a few day hikers, but no one who walked the entire Walserweg.
The route through Bünderland is not a direct one and passes through remote Walser communities.
We often camped in the mountains and bathed in rivers or lakes.
The people are very friendly and the landscape breathtaking.
On the "Schweizmobil" page you find all the details.

The green Via Alpina is probably the most famous through hike in Switzerland.
On our way to Montreux we met hundreds of day hikers and dozens of through hikers.
Some of them were like us with tent on the way, others booked already all accommodations in advance.
Partly even with luggage transport.
The path leads through well-known areas and towns with many tourists from all over the world.
The landscape is fantastic, from our point of view partly just too many people.
On the "Schweizmobil" page you find all the details.

We had a great time with great weather!
