Motivated by the goal to meet friends in Vienna and to jump in their pool, we decided to bike from home to them.
We cycled to Donaueschingen and from there on the "Donau Radweg" to Vienna.
The "Donau Radweg" is part of the "EuroVelo 6", which starts at the Atlantic Ocean and leads to the Black Sea.
It's a popular and easy bike path. All flat, lots of restaurants and places to sleep.
Most of the time we camped and learned that our tent is not completely waterproof anymore :-(
Probably since a major storm in Italy...
We met many other cyclists. Some of them continued to the black sea or even further.
A great inspiration was a young frenchman who was traveling by canoe from Rotterdam to the Black Sea. A six-month project...
We enjoyed the whole trip very much and would have liked to cycle even further.
At the finish in Vienna we had a great time.
